About Dion

A Life Shaped by Service, Faith & Resilience

Dion D. Banks is not a coach who learned about hardship from a textbook. He has lived it — and come through the other side.

His Story

From the Battlefield to the Coaching Room

Dion D. Banks served his country as a U.S. Army combat veteran, carrying the weight of service that only those who have worn the uniform can fully understand. The discipline, sacrifice, and brotherhood of military life shaped him — but so did the invisible wounds that often come home with soldiers.

After his service, Dion built a distinguished 25+ year career as an executive leader, guiding organizations and communities through periods of significant challenge and transformation. He learned what it means to lead not just with strategy, but with heart.

As an ordained minister, Dion has walked alongside people in their darkest moments — at bedsides, in grief, in crisis — offering the kind of presence that no credential can fully teach. His faith is not a performance; it is the foundation from which he serves.

Through all of it, Dion has done his own deep work. He knows what it is to feel lost, to grieve, to question, and to rebuild. That lived experience is what makes his coaching different. He doesn't coach from a distance — he coaches from alongside.

"He doesn't coach from a distance — he coaches from alongside."

Coaching Philosophy

You Were Not Designed to Fail

Dion's approach is rooted in a simple but profound belief: every person carries within them the capacity for healing, growth, and purpose. Coaching is not about fixing what is broken — it is about uncovering what was always there.

Trauma-Informed

Every session is grounded in an understanding of how trauma shapes the nervous system, identity, and behavior — creating safety before depth.

Whole-Person

Dion works with the full person — mind, body, spirit, and story — not just the presenting problem.

Evidence-Based

Eleven certifications and 450+ hours of training ensure that every coaching approach is grounded in proven methodology.

Compassionate & Direct

Dion is known for his warmth and his honesty. He will meet you where you are — and he will also challenge you to go further.
